Designed to target large sized pelagic and predatory fish like GT, Kingfish, Tuna etc the Saltiga DS Meisters Edition
The majority of sliders on the market have a standard round profile, this causes excessive drag and angler fatigue, the profile is inefficient and causes the lure to roll and tangle easily. Dorado Slider is different, the body is wider at the top, thinner at the bottom, this acts like a keel , this keel allows the lure to track straight but also allows it to be worked for an erratic zigzag sliding action easily with very little action imparted by the angler.
For ultimate endurance the Dorado Slider has an injection moulded urethane body that is made under massive pressure for ultimate strength and durability. Coating this is a 1.8mm thick painted surface that resists impact damage and eliminates water intrusion. The colour range represents the finest patterns for fish attraction but also the oversized “eye” attracts fish. At the rear it is weighted for increased cast distance, eliminating the lure tumbling and it keeps the tail in the water for better hook ups.
The Bubblemaker is one of the first sliders that can be efficiently used all day with angler fatigue, its ability to be cast easily and efficiently, plus have an action that works easily makes it one of the finest sliders available.
Available late Autumn 2012.

Designed to target large sized pelagic and predatory fish like GT, Kingfish, Tuna etc the Saltiga Bubblemaker is an all new breed of popper.
The majority of poppers on the market have a standard round profile, this causes excessive drag and angler fatigue, the profile is inefficient and causes the lure to have just a splashing action with no motion. Bubblemaker is different, the long nose design allows the lure to have a thinner centre point, and this makes a longer larger bubble trail with less water resistance, making it easier to pop. At the rear of the Bubblemaker it has a keel on the bottom, this keel allows the lure to track straight but also allows it to be worked for an erratic zigzag sliding action unlike any other popper.
For ultimate endurance the Bubblemaker has an injection moulded urethane body that is made under massive pressure for ultimate strength and durability. Coating this is a 1.8mm thick painted surface that resists impact damage and eliminates water intrusion. The colour range represents the finest patterns for fish attraction but also the oversized “eye” attracts fish and is placed right next to the centre hook to increase hook ups. At the rear it features a large flashing spinner blade for extra flash and it can be easily removed without having to remove the hook.
The Bubblemaker is one of the first poppers that can be efficiently used all day with angler fatigue, its ability to be used as a popper, slipper and rip style bait makes it ideal for a wide range of fish and fishing styles.
Available late Autumn 2012.

Warren Keelan and myself just spent the past few days filming with Offshore Productions “The Fishing DVD” for an upcoming episode of the winter issue of the DVD. The highlight of the few days was definitely Warrens thumping 90 plus centimetre Dusky Flathead caught on the new prototype Tournament AGS 701LFS rod. I’ll have a testing report during the week along with images in the AGS section of this site. Also very soon a few teaser videos as well.

Almost 700,000 trout and salmon were stocked into 135 waters last year by the Victorian Coalition Government to improve fishing opportunities for freshwater fishers.
Agriculture and Food Security Minister Peter Walsh said 2011 was a big year for trout production at the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Snobs Creek fish hatchery, as many lakes had filled following drought-breaking rains and were in terrific condition to be stocked.
“Several of our newly filled lakes produced outstanding fishing last year so it made sense to stock them again with help from revenue obtained through the sale of recreational fishing licences,” Mr Walsh said.
The stand-out performer in 2011 was Lake Bolac, which produced large numbers of rainbow trout between 2kg and 3kg.
Other standout performers last year were Lake Tooliorook, Hepburn Lagoon and Lake Elingamite which provided exceptional trout fishing for fly, bait and lure anglers.
Further afield, several waters received trout for the first time in years including Lake Toolondo in the Wimmera, which was once one of Victoria’s most productive and popular trout fisheries. It was stocked with 40,000 brown trout and 5,000 rainbow trout.
“Before the drought, Lake Toolondo was known to produce brown trout over 4kg so there are many people hoping our stocking pays dividends in years to come,” Mr Walsh said.
Lake Marma, near Murtoa, and Pykes Creek Reservoir, near Ballan, were also additions to the stocking list in 2011, receiving 1,000 and 5,000 trout respectively.
All trout stocked this year were produced at the Snobs Creek hatchery which has greatly benefited from recent upgrades.
