TikTokA close relative to the king threadfin salmon, they are also a member of the polynemidae family, and have a similar appearence. Blue salmon have a similar mouth, tail and body shape to king threadfin, however they are slightly more stout overall. They have a silvery/blue colour, and have four pectorial filemants instead of five.
Just like their larger cousins, blue salmon also love eating prawns, and live or dead prawn baits will attract this effective hunter. Lure anglers enjoy using a range of presentations, which include hard-bodied lures, topwater lures, vibration baits, metal lures, soft plastics and flies.
