Service, Spare Parts and Repair Forms
Reel Service Process Overview
Servicing your reel is important to maintain performance and extend its lifespan. The process works as follows:
Step 1 — Submit Repair Form
Customers must complete the online Reel Repair Form. Once submitted, the Daiwa Service Department will register the reel in our Service Order System. Proof of purchase can be attached if a warranty claim is being made.
Step 2 — Send Reel to Daiwa
The reel must be securely packaged and posted to Daiwa Australia along with a printed copy of the submitted repair form. Customers should retain their tracking number for reference.

Step 3 — Assessment & Quote
Once received, the reel will be placed into the service queue. When it reaches assessment, one of our technicians will inspect the reel and provide a repair quote via phone or email. Work will only proceed once the quote has been approved and payment is processed.
Step 4 — Return Shipping
After servicing is completed, the reel will be securely packaged and returned via premium express post, typically arriving within 1–2 business days.
Service Charges (excl. GST)
Standard reels — $40
Tournament / High-end reels — $70
Electric reels — $100
Return express freight — $20
Additional costs may apply depending on required parts and labour.
Turnaround Time
Current service turnaround is approximately 15–20 business days, depending on workload.
Important Notes
Daiwa is unable to service very old reel models, particularly pre-Magsealed reels (generally released prior to 2010). This is due to the difficulty in sourcing replacement parts from Japan, as well as the increased risk when disassembling older reels — over time internal components can become brittle and may be prone to damage during servicing. If you are unsure whether your reel can be serviced, please contact our Service Department prior to sending it in.
If an unsupported model is received — including reels that cannot be serviced due to age or reels purchased outside of Australian authorised retailers — the reel will be returned without repair.
Spare Parts
Spare parts can be purchased directly from Daiwa by submitting the Spare Parts Order Form. Typical turnaround time for spare parts is 1–3 business days.
