Jungle Perch Tackle

Jungle perch are a medium-sized freshwater fish native to the coastal streams on the northeastern coast of Australia, and are a member of the kuhliidae family.They have a moderately deep body, with a large mouth and eyes. They have an olive-coloured top and a creamy-coloured underside. Their flanks are covered in black or red-brown spots, and the tail has a large black spot on the top and bottom tail fin.

Jungle perch are aggressive opportunistic feeders, often competing with one another for anything that enters the pool. Small lures of just about any type will work on this species, as will small natural baits like worms, crickets and insects.
