Favourite Technique / Species / Fishing Style

My favourite type of fishing would have to be throwing poppers for kingfish and Samson fish from the rocks. The surface takes from these fish are second to none and gets my casting arm twitching like no other fish.

Angling Inspiration

My whole life I have been surrounded by people that fish and after seeing people haul in some monsters it gave me the motivation to try it myself. After constantly losing fish which was very frustrating, I learnt better knots and came up with ways to try to eliminate the chance of losing that fish of a lifetime.

My main motivation nowadays is trying to take the stories of XOS fish from the past and trying to replicate it today. The fish are out there and I know it's possible. Living down south and exploring remote parts of Western Australia, away from civilisation, has made this achievable.

Why I Fish

The rush and sheer excitement of hooking and having the chance of landing the fish of a lifetime off the rocks keeps me coming back time and time again.
