Superior Protection

Confidence is key when angling, especially in less than desirable conditions. Magsealed reels allow anglers to have full confidence in their tools and know that they can hold up in all scenarios.
Smooth Operating

Smooth Operating

Smooth and consistent winding is the cornerstone of all great spinning reels. With Magsealed design being introduced into Daiwa's spinning reel range, our developers were able to decrease the weight of the rotor making Magsealed reels smoother and lighter to wind.
No Compromise

No Compromise

Magsealed eliminates the need for traditional grease or rubber gaskets which require frequent cleaning and replacement. This means fewer servicing requirements and less downtime for anglers, and allows Magsealed equipped reels to remain in peak condition for longer.

Evolution of Magsealed Technology

With the introduction of MAGSEALED technology, not only did the Daiwa team achieve a new level of reel protection, but with implementing MAGSEALED throughout the range, the development team managed to reduce the weight of the rotor. Not only was it lighter, but the inertia of the rotor was also greatly reduced, making the initial winding much easier. Reels equipped with MAGSEALED can be found within the entire range across spin, baitcast and overhead reels.

Ultimate Protection. Increased Longevity

MAGSEALED protection is no longer just for the main shaft and rotor of a reel with MAGSEALED Ball Bearings providing ultimate protection for the most at risk locations such as the engine sideplate and line roller. MAGSEALED Ball Bearings use the same magnetic oil to shield internals from water and grit penetrating into the bearing.
LINE ROLLER
LINE ROLLER

Prolonged Life. Protected from the elements.

One of the hardest working and exposed areas of a spin reel can now be protected with a MAGSEALED barrier. A line roller bearing protected by MAGSEALED has increased performance and longevity by preventing damaging contaminants such as salt and dust getting inside, effecting the function of the line roller.

Core Protection

The bearing on the main shaft is typically enclosed by the rotor. If the waterproofing in this area fails, water and debris can gradually seep into the core of the reel, affecting critical components like the drive gear and pinion gear. The superior protection of Magsealed technology has also allowed for a more hollowed-out rotor design, making the reel lighter without compromising durability.
