Snapper, or pink snapper as they are known in WA, are a medium-sized demersal fish of the family sparidae, which includes bream. They range in colour from a pale pink to almost bright red, and juveniles can often sport vibrant blue spots. Larger models can sometimes have large bumps on their head, giving them the nickname 'knobbies'.
