Snapper, or pink snapper as they are known in WA, are a medium-sized demersal fish of the family sparidae, which includes bream. They range in colour from a pale pink to almost bright red, and juveniles can often sport vibrant blue spots. Larger models can sometimes have large bumps on their head, giving them the nickname 'knobbies'.
Snapper are excellent species to target for the recreational angler and can be caught with a variety of tackle, lures and baits. Here are some tackle recommendations for your next snapper trip.
