The largest member of the whiting family, King George whiting are found around inshore areas and bays through southern Australia and Tasmania. KG whiting can reach around 80cm and almost 5kg, however are more common around 40cm and under 1kg. Light paternoster rigs with mussels, pipis, squid and sand worm are deadly on KGs. A simple burley will increase your chances of success markedly.
